Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCARNY) of Levittown, New York is a 501(c)3 Charity whose mission is to rescue abandoned and abused animals and find them loving homes.
About Us
Second Chance Animal Rescue’s (SCARNY) cats and dogs come from many painful situations: some once had homes, but were later abandoned in parks, behind supermarkets, and on the streets. Having spent their lives as house pets, these cats and dogs are unable to fend for themselves.
Sometimes, we must remove cats or dogs from a hoarder’s home. Other times, an owner suddenly passes away, leaving their cat or dog with no one to care for it and nowhere for it to go. In the spring, we often find a litter of stray kittens whose mother never returned to care for them. During times of hurricanes or severe winter weather, animals are found wondering, hungry and displaced.
Our adoption center is located at PetSmart at 3545 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, NY 11756. Our adoption events generally are every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please follow our social media pages for further information. See you soon!
